Sternguard Squad Finished

Finished with these guys for now. Might come back to them and add some more freehand to the shoulders and cloth but for now they can hit the table ready for battle! Think next I fancy doing a vehicle?

Sternguard Veterans

First two of my sternguard squad done! others are all about there just need to touch up and photo. Yay!

 Quite pleased with how these look from a distance as the result is what I intended "a bold eye catching army" rather than a highly detailed fully time consuming blended approach.

Daily Workbench!

Made a little more progress working area by area. Today I focused on the biege/ cream areas. I made the cream very light using more white than I normally would as contrast extra with the dark black of the armour. Stay Tuned.....

Bit more progress on these. Just finishing up the red on the weapons. I always had a job painting red so I am quite pleased with the results. Finally found a recipe that is quick, easy to apply and provides decent results. For anyone interested heres the recipe:

Basecoat : Liche Purple

Layer: Blood Red

Shade: 1:1 Blood Red & Liche Purple 

Highlight: Blazing Orange

Highlight: Vomit Brown

Light Points: Skull White

Whipped my paint brush out and made some progress on these for my space marine army!

What can I say I just like edge highlighting space marines and not much else :) But yeah aiming for the super contrasted highlights as while they may look a little over the top I know they will still pop in a dim games store.

Space Marine Commander

Got myself through the christmas cold painting this fella, not really finished with him yet but was musing starting a army with this dude as a commander. So that was my News years resolution, but even with the best intentions a army is never gonna happen. or will it..... 

So kept myself to gaming standard paint job just in case I do muster the strength to give him some brothers and sisters. Thanks For Lookin!

Space Marine Honour Guard

Hello people. heres my latest finished figure, quite pleased with this one as it was a relatively quick and straightforward affair. There were areas I wanted to take further namely the dark/lights on the swords but wanted to move onto the next figure so left it quite subtle.
